Doily Finished

Crocheting is still a little bit uncomfortable for me. It must have my shoulder at a bad angle. Knitting is not uncomfy at all.

I finished this doily several days ago. It will be featured for sale on my site at: Hollys Dollies. This one was created using white size 10 cotton crochet thread and from From the “Absolutely Gorgeous Doilies” book of patterns designed by Patricia Kristoffersen; Pattern #1 – “Park Avenue”. It was an easy pattern to follow. I am daunted by some of the more difficult patterns, but have just started working on #16 – “Majestic”, on round 8 of 33.

American Girl Blouse and Jeans Set

I’ve had this outfit finished for a week or so. Found a moment to take a picture.

The bouse is a purple batik cotton print in a peasant style with elastic neckband.

The jeans are made from light weight faux denim cotton fabric with a velcro closure.

Our model is The Madame Alexander Mia Bella doll, which is 18 inches tall and is very similar to the American Girl Doll. This doll has a vinyl chest.

Spring DinkyBaby Swap

I finally felt good enough to finish my doll for the DinkyBaby Spring Swap.
I received my baby from my partner and he is just adorable! Dressed in “Spring Training” outfit, Micky is ready to play ball!
The baby I decided to do is from the 11″ newborn pattern. I used a dress, hat and pants pattern for a 14″ doll in a bright, cheery spring floral print. I then added handknit booties.
I will get her in the mail today and let my partner know she is officially “in labor”!

Breyer Flash Mold Appaloosa

Finally finished this beauty! What a sweet face this mold has!
He has subtle Appaloosa characteristics including sclera, mottling and striped hooves.
I wonder what breed his new owner will assign him. He’d make a nice Tiger Horse, possibly American Warmblood or POA.

I am going to finish the bay leopard Appaloosa today. He is turning out really nice!

I recently finished painting a resin model for myself. An Arabian Mare Artist Resin, Traditional Scale, sculpted by Sue Thompson. I painted her a luscious dappled bay. Will name and pedigree her this weekend. She will part of my “new showstring”. It has been a long struggle to try to rebuild my collection. For the longest time, my heart just wasn’t in it. I do hope to attend at least one live show this year and jump into photo showing.

DinkyBaby #3

Today, I finished a DinkyBaby newborn for my sis-in-law. This is going to be a gift to her Great Granddaughter. This is Baby #3 for me. They are so much fun to make and dress!

I adapted her pants and shirt from a newborn onesie. Then I knit a hat and a pair of booties. She also sports a flannel diaper with velcro closings.
